AQUROV Engineering Support
Complex underwater projects, coordinated by AQUROV.
When a requirement goes beyond a product variant — core structure, electrical architecture, control logic, communication, power, buoyancy balance or full system integration — it is scoped and delivered as an engineering project. You keep one customer-facing team at AQUROV, with the ROVMAKER engineering team working behind us on the technical side.

Scope
What this covers
These are the requirements that are handled as engineering projects rather than as product variants. Each one changes what the system is, not only how it is configured.
- Core structure redevelopment
- Electrical architecture redevelopment
- Control logic development
- Communication system design
- Power supply system design
- Buoyancy and balance work
- Full system integration
- Complex vehicle architecture, compatibility and joint debugging
Projects like these are scoped from requirements, not quoted from a catalogue. The scope, the boundary and what it takes to move forward are agreed before design work begins.
Process
How a project runs
Five stages, in this order. Nothing moves into design or production until the stage before it is agreed.
-
01
Requirements and scope
Send the product or system involved, the quantity, what it has to do, the key parameters, the country the project ships to, and the timing you are working towards.
-
02
Initial feasibility and boundary
We assess what is achievable, what is not, and which side of the line your requirement sits on. An initial feasibility judgement is free of charge.
-
03
Project confirmation before design
If the work needs a detailed system solution, custom design, drawings or substantial engineering effort, we confirm the project is real and that you intend to purchase. An engineering or solution fee may apply at this point.
-
04
Design, sourcing and build
The project runs with one person accountable for configuration, timing and the delivered result. Lead time is committed to you only after internal confirmation with purchasing and production.
-
05
Delivery and after-sales support
Handover, documentation and any follow-up support stay with AQUROV, so you are not handed to a different company after delivery.
Standard components that belong to the project can be included in it. Your other, separate standard purchases are still handled the normal way through the shop.
Inputs
What to send
A project starts faster when the technical material and the commercial context arrive together. Neither has to be complete before you write to us.
Technical material
- Drawings you already have: assembly, interface or mounting
- Interface and connector definitions
- Dimensions and tolerances that matter to the fit
- Performance requirements the system has to meet
- Special materials or environmental conditions involved
- Any other technical documents, including previous revisions
Project context
- The product or system involved
- Quantity, or the volume you expect over time
- What the system has to do, and where it is used
- The country the project ships to
- The timing your project depends on
- Where the project stands: study, prototype or production
Final selection, a formal quotation and any technical commitment require the key parameters. If something is missing, we tell you what is needed before we commit to anything.
Commercial boundary
Free at the start, paid when it becomes a design project
The first judgement is free. Design work, drawings and engineering hours are not, and we say which one you are asking for.
| Stage | What it includes | How it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Free of charge | Standard documentation, basic selection support, an initial feasibility judgement. | Provided on request, so you can judge whether the project is worth pursuing before spending anything. |
| Paid work | Detailed system solutions, custom design, drawings, and substantial engineering effort. | Project reality and purchasing intent are confirmed first, and an engineering or solution fee may apply. |
The free stage answers whether your requirement is feasible and what it involves at a high level. It is not a design service: a detailed scheme, drawings and engineering hours are paid work, and that is agreed before the work starts rather than billed afterwards.
Responsibility
Where responsibility sits
Projects often mix AQUROV components with third-party equipment. Which side carries the coordination and after-sales responsibility depends on who chose the item.
We select it and put it in the solution
When AQUROV chooses a third-party product and includes it in the design, AQUROV carries the main coordination and after-sales responsibility for it.
You specify it, we purchase it
When you name a specific model and we only buy it on your behalf, the responsibility boundary is stated in advance, so both sides know what is covered by whom.
Either way the boundary is written down before the order rather than discovered after delivery. If a responsibility is genuinely unclear later, it is worked out from the evidence and the actual situation.
Brand
Behind AQUROV
Engineering support backed by ROVMAKER. AQUROV is the customer-facing brand, the product brand and the trading centre; ROVMAKER is the engineering resource behind the complex work.
One customer-facing team
Enquiry, quotation, contract, payment arrangement and after-sales all stay with AQUROV. You are never asked to re-enter a second brand's website or open a second supplier relationship to continue a project.
Engineering capability behind it
Core redevelopment, complex customization, system integration and system-level engineering design are carried out with the ROVMAKER engineering team, inside the same project and without changing who you deal with.
Questions
Common questions
What buyers usually ask before an engineering project is scoped.
Where does light customization end and a project begin?
Cable lengths, connectors, interfaces, mounting dimensions, selected materials, parameter ranges, packaging and bundled combinations stay light customization on mature products. Core structure, electrical architecture, control logic, communication, power, buoyancy balance and full system integration are projects. If it is not obvious which one applies, we confirm it with you.
Do I pay for the first conversation?
No. Standard documentation, basic selection support and an initial feasibility judgement are free. A detailed system solution, custom design, drawings or substantial engineering effort is paid work, and it is agreed before that work starts.
Who holds the contract and the after-sales responsibility?
AQUROV. The formal quotation, contract and payment arrangement are confirmed for the project, and after-sales support continues through AQUROV. Engineering input does not change who you deal with.
Start with the requirement.
Send what the system has to do, the parameters that matter and the timing you are working towards. We come back with an initial feasibility judgement, the boundary of the work, and how the project would run.
