Application

System Integration

System integration fits AQUROV components into a vehicle that already exists: matching voltage and current, control signal and protocol, and the mechanical interface of housings, penetrators and connectors. The recommendation therefore starts from the interfaces — control, communication and power as one group, and the enclosures and connections the vehicle already uses — rather than from a single component family.

Working environment

Bench and dock work first, then wet testing. The integrator usually works inside a fixed frame, with an existing battery pack and a tether that will not be replaced, and that sets the electrical and mechanical envelope for every added part.

Technical challenges

Interfaces carry the risk: a load that draws more current than the wiring or driver was sized for, a sensor that speaks a different bus, a connector that does not seal against the wall thickness it is fitted to. Electrical noise from high-current loads beside signal paths produces faults that appear only under load.

Key selection factors

What decides the specification in this environment.

  • Electrical compatibility Check voltage range, current draw and control signal of each powered part against the supply, the driver and the wiring in between.
  • Signal and protocol Confirm bus levels and protocol before ordering, and use level conversion where the host system already runs another standard.
  • Mechanical interface Housing diameter and wall thickness decide which penetrators, connectors and end caps fit, so check them as one set rather than one at a time.
  • Service access Leave seals and connectors reachable so a fault is found on deck instead of after recovery.

Tell us where the system has to work.

Depth, water conditions, task, repeat rate and the crew operating it decide more about the specification than the headline requirement does. Describe the job and we will map it to components that survive it.
